The Costa de la Luz starts at the border of Portugal and runs all the way to Gibraltar and consists of two very distinct golfing areas, so much so that we split the area into two and we have designated the area of Costa de la Luz to run from the border to Dunas do Donana and the rest of the Costa de la Luz we have named Cadiz Province.

The "Coast of Light" or Costa de la Luz gets its name from the crystal-like air that seems to give a breathtaking and refreshing clarity to the very many sea vistas.

This area is fast becoming a great golfing destination and its "jewell in the Crown" is Monte Rei, the king of courses, a new course that will undoubtedly become one of the best courses in Europe. Monte Rei, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima Benamor and Castro Marim are all over the border in Portugal but all are only a very short drive from this area of the Costa de la Luz.

The rolling hills of the land in this area lends itself to making superb golf courses come here for a golfing treat.
