Guadalhorce
On the Eastern side of Malaga airport and a little difficult to find, Guadalhorce is worth the trip. The first nine are a bit hilly and fairly open, whilst the back nine are flat with a few water hazards. The club house at Guadalhorce is an 18th century Andalucian mansion which has been restored in grand style. The front nine at the Guadalhorce golf course, which was designed by kosti kuronen, has a distinctively European feel about it, with its slightly rolling terrain and tricky greens, especially the long green at the 4th.On the back nine the layout is more of an American style with lakes, tropical vegetation and raised greens. Throughout the Guadalhorce golf course many greens are extremely large, and in some cases they are shared between two holes, the 6th and the 8th for example and also the 12th and16th.
