Laid out amongst the beautiful Elviria Hills and using the contours and undulations of this natural terrain to great effect, Robert Trent Jones Senior has created a golf course with timeless quality and with some fantastic sea views and views of the surrounding Costa del Sol countryside.

The first nine are much more undulating than the back nine and this half of the golf course need you to be wary and observant prior to your club selection; accuracy is the order of the day because off line strikes can be severely penalised by the trees and thick rough that run alongside the fairways. If you can negotiate the first nine successfully then you are on for a good score because the second nine are much easier, flatter and less intimidating, albeit there are several elevated greens that could prove testing.

The fairways are always in great shape and the greens are excellently presented and are large, smooth and quite fast; all in all this is and has been a Costa del Sol golf holiday favourite and even though it is not amongst the cheapest golf courses on the Costa del Sol it is well worth adding to your Spanish golf holiday itinerary
