Santa Clara
Located just off the N-340, near the hospital on the eastern side of Marbella, Santa Clara Golf Club is a new 18 hole par 71 course of 5878 metres from the professional tees. The course was designed by Enrique Canales Busquets. It is well manicured. The 360 acre estate is being developed with luxurious apartments and villas. The front nine has two par 3s, 6 par 4s and one par 5. The longer back nine has two par 3s, five par 4s and 2 par 5s. Water comes into play on many holes and there are bunkers protecting most of the greens. Santa Clara Golf Club provides a challenge for all levels of golfers. Santa Clara hosted the 58th Annual Spanish Professional Championship in June 2003, quite an honour for a new course and indicative of the quality and prestige Santa Clara has been able to achieve in a short time.
