Costa da Caparica

Located in the Costa Azul on the opposite bank of the Tejo River this friendly fishing village of old is separated from the sea by a long sandy beach. The town is friendly and has not developed into an international tourist spot, although it is a favourite destination of the Lisbon city dwellers; therefore it is a town with some of the trappings of tourism and includes an interesting night life with some lively bars that play music until the early hours.

It has a host of seafood restaurant and bars and many beach bars and restaurants where fresh sea food features.

Golf courses close to Costa da Caparica are the excellent courses of Aroeira I and Aroeira II which are only 7 miles away and Quinta da Peru about 19 miles, the too good to miss Troia about 30 miles the last mile by ferry. In addition the Lisbon Coast courses of Estoril, Penha Longa, Lisbon Sports Club, Belas, Oitavos and Quinta da Marinha are within 25 miles.
