This setting and course can be considered one of the luxuries of Portuguese golf. Located in the parklands of what was once a 14th Century Convent that has been extended through the ages and carefully restored. No expense appears to have been saved in creating this course and a Luxury Hotel and development support it. The topographical layout is gently hilly which adds to the overall beauty and effect. The course offers water hazards, elevated greens and a challenge from the wind. The course has to be played for the quality of thought of its creator to be truly appreciated. There is a separate nine-hole course named "Mosteiro".
